I'm Back!

Hey, Girlz! Life has been crazy (as usual), but I have not forgotten about this blog. I really miss writing here and am going to try to make posting here a priority!

Two days ago, I got back from a weeklong trip my sister and I took to see our best friends that live in Indiana. We had a great time! It was so much fun.

On Saturday (the day we arrived) we went to a concert at their church where multiple people performed older songs. It was a lot of fun, and it was an outreach, so their pastor shared a message towards the end that was really great. I also got to meet a couple of my best friend Kiera's friends, who were really fun to be around!

Sunday morning, we went to a youth Bible study and then church. Both were great and really encouraging and refreshing!

That night, we were contemplating what to do. My sister kept mentioning ideas, like doing each other's hair and makeup, playing Just Dance, and scrapbooking, but we couldn't all agree on something. Then, out of the blue, she came up with the idea of forking one of Kiera's friends' yard! (we'd met him at the concert at their church)  We all agreed, so we went to Walmart and bought four hundred plastic forks (after we got frozen yogurt). That night (around 11), their dad drove us to his (Kiera's friend's) neighborhood. We were about to park when we saw a car starting to pull out of its driveway (the driveway was close to the house we were going to fork). We waited for it to pull out, but it just stayed in place with its headlights on (creepy!). We decided to drive around a bit to lose the car, and when we drove down the street the car FOLLOWED US! (The person in the car even had a flashlight, and Kiera's dad thinks the driver wrote down his license plate number!) We drove out of the neighborhood, and the creeper car drove back into it. We found a place to park, and us girls walked to the yard and started forking quietly. While we were forking, we saw headlights coming down the street. It was the same car! We ran behind bushes and hid until the car pulled back into it's driveway. We tried to crawl further into the bushes, and I accidentally hit the gutter right by the parents' bedroom window! We didn't get caught, though (mwahaha :)). On Wednesday, we finally told him that we were the ones who forked his yard, and he laughed really hard! He also told us that the neighbor that had been following us was a COP! That could've ended badly!!! All in all, it was quite a fun little adventure :).

The next day, we visited our friends' homeschool co-op. I really enjoyed the class we were in! It was about worldviews, which I love learning/talking about :). Afterwards, we went out and got ice cream with some other friends of Kiera and Brenna's. Mine was melting really fast, and it was getting all over me! It was really funny.

On Wednesday, my friend Sam came over to hang out for a couple hours (I met him online two years ago and had hung out with him last time I was in Indiana, which was two years ago as well). It was fun! We all played Apples to Apples and Heads Up (a fun iPod game), talked, played the piano, and sang a bit. Then, I got to go to Kiera's youth group, which was really fun!

On Thursday, we got up early and went to the Answers in Genesis Creation Museum in Kentucky. I'd gone to it with them the last time I visited, but I enjoyed it very much this time, too! It is such an amazing museum!  It's so cool and incredible how much evidence there is for biblical creation! Plus, I got to ride a camel! I mentioned that it was on my bucket list, and they wouldn't let me off the hook ;)! It was fun! It was also fun listening to the entire VeggieTales Jonah soundtrack on the way home and singing along. Ah, Billy Joel Mcguffrey...memories...

On Friday, we did a photoshoot at a park and by a cornfield. We had hotdogs and s'mores for dinner, and we watched the movie "Leap Year" for a second time that week :). Brenna and I played card games that night while Haley and Kiera did hair. It was fun :).

The next morning, we flew home. I had such an amazing time with them, and I miss them already! I love you guys! Thank you so much for having us!

So, that's what I've been up to. What about you? I'd love to hear what's been going on in YOUR life! :)
