Spring Has Sprung // Picture Post

But let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them sing joyful praises forever. Spread your protection over them, that all who love your name may be filled with joy. For you bless the godly, O Lord; you surround them with your shield of love. - Psalm 5:11-12

One day when I was reading my Bible, I came across this verse, and I think it is just so beautiful. I know it doesn't specifically talk about spring, but it is such a true, beautiful, refreshing scripture...and I think spring is kind of like that. Beautiful, new, refreshing, lovely.

I hope you are inspired by these spring shots. I'll be praying for you girls. Remember that no matter what you've done, God can forgive you and make you new. You just have to repent, trust, and ask Him to.

God bless you, girls. He loves you so, so much.

Life as of Late

Since it's been a little while since I last posted, I thought I'd tell you what's been going on in my life.

I got the chance to go to the Revolve Tour: This is Love with my mom, sister, and cousin (my mom and sister and I also went shopping and went to Chipotle :)). It was SO MUCH FUN! The teachings/talks/speakers were great, and so was the music. I'm really glad I got the chance to go :). Anthem Lights was there (which I was SO EXCITED about; they're my favorite band/singing group), and I got to go in the "mosh pit" area while they sang. I was really close (not close enough for a high-five, unfortunately, but still pretty close :)). I didn't meet any of them (even though I followed Joey Stamper trying to get an autograph but was too far behind him and lost him, ehehehe).  Britt Nicole was there, too, and I just love how her heart shows through what she does. She is the real deal, peeps! During one of her songs, she stopped to talk to a girl in front of her and hold her hand. It was very obvious that she cared about each and every one of us and wanted us to realize our God-given potential to change the world and chase our dreams. It was awesome.

We went out to dinner. It was DELISH.
Worship team!

Jenna Lucado Bishop (love her! Check out her book "Redefining Beautiful"! It's awesome!)

Britt Nicole! (she sang AND danced, and she is pregnant! How did she do it?!)

Christa Black (she was great, too)

Trevor Morgan (loved the song he did, "Jesus Rides the Subway")

Anthem Lights! (if you're wondering - yes, they're cute. *ahem*)

Haha see the random person with a stuffed animal?

He's coming this wayyyyy!

Cool shot of Adam and Chad

Interesting facial expressions, guys

Yeah, most of the pics I took were of Anthem Lights...

Joey!

A little acoustic music (lol the stuffed animal person is still there) (sorry, I'm kinda bombarding you with pics ;))

It was great :).

Anyway, in other news...

I had another birthday, thus turning a year older :).

I had a Les Miserables party (I'm a tad bit obsessed with Les Mis), and it 'twas epic. The decorations were red, white, blue, and black, and the cake resembled the flag. My dad even had the cake lady write "Happy birthday" in French on top.

It took me nine blows to put out all the candles! Haha :).

Resurrection Day also came. It was a great day spent with my family, and I wore a dress and heels to church (although I can't walk ordinarily in heels, haha) :). I am so thankful for Jesus Christ and what He did for me, and I am so joyful in saying that He rose again and conquered the grave! I can't even comprehend a small part of how hard it must've been to endure all the pain and suffering that Jesus went through when He bore all our sins. It's amazing to me that Jesus, the one and only perfect, sinless human being EVER, would die for a sinless, horrible, wretched person like me. It just amazes me. I am so glad that He rose again, and that we can be in heaven with Him some day if we repent and put our trust in Him :). THANK YOU so, so much, Jesus, for what you did for me.

Romans 5:8
But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.

Romans 10:9
If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Four days after my birthday, I got my permit. I had wanted to get it sooner but hadn't finished reading the book yet. When I passed the test, I was so relieved that I was giddy! I was on the last question, and if I missed one more, I'd fail it. I am so thankful that I got it right!

Yesterday, I drove for the first time (don't worry - it was in a parking lot that not many people use and my mom was with me, of course). It was so much fun. I didn't make any major mistakes either, which I was happy about. I just forgot to switch gears at one point, so I stepped on the gas and we went backwards! Haha! But we were fine :).

Picture taken by my mom :).

A few days ago, my sister and I sang back-up in a pageant/fundraiser/talent competition/and a lot more :) a good friend of ours was in. It was a lot of fun! He didn't win the pageant (although I thought he deserved to :)), but we still had a great time.

The same day as the pageant, my little sister asked Jesus Christ into her heart. I couldn't be more joyful! I have been praying for her to accept Jesus, and when she did I almost cried. I'd have to say that even though I've done lots of fun stuff in the past few weeks, my little sister accepting Christ was by far the BEST of them all. I am just so joyful and excited!

What have you been up to? By the way, happy spring! :)

God bless you, girls. I'll be praying for you tonight.
