God's Fingerprints

Sometimes I think about nonchristians' perspective, and a question in my brain constantly stumps me as I try to think of an answer from a nonchristian's point of view. The question is this: Without God, what is there to live for? Many could say money, friends, family, material items, beauty, nature, and other temporary pleasures...but really think about it - do any of those things measure up to God? Certainly NOT! Friends and family will fail and abandon you, and as the Bible says, temporary pleasures won't last. And what if you were made by accident? What would you have to live for? Nothing, right? The truth is simple, yet hard to take in: Without God, we are nothing. If we're not living for Him, then what are we living for? When you think of the big picture of life and what happens after you die, temporary desires like toys, that book that every girl in your class has, that iPod, that boyfriend, that money, that house, that "perfect" family...none of those things can take the place of Jesus, can they? Sometimes another question daunts my mind, and it is this: How can people NOT believe in Jesus? God has left His fingerprints all over the place - even on you! He calls you His child when you accept Him into your heart. He loves you. It says so, right in His Word. He cares for you, understands you, knows EVERYTHING about you (really, everything), knows all the bad things you've done...yet still loves you more than you or I or anybody could ever imagine. Many times I am amazed by what God has created...especially when I see pictures of outer space. You have gotta check out these pics at hubblesite.org: http://hubblesite.org/gallery/album/star. They are AMAZING! Do you see the one that looks like a cross? Be sure to go to the gallery and click on "Galaxy" and see the blue cross one. WOW, God is so amazing! And He leaves His fingerprints everywhere! The content of these images could definitely not have been made by accident. Neither could we! It's not an accident that we have feelings, emotions, thoughts, interests and disinterests, and abilities. It's not an accident that Jesus came to die for us. He is amazing! Remember this: His fingerprints are everywhere. You just gotta look around - or look in the mirror at YOU! You are an amazing God-creation, no matter what you look like, where you've been, or what you've done. God still loves you and wants you to call Him your perfect Father and run to Him! He will hold open His arms for you and embrace you in them if you go to Him and ask Him to forgive you and change you. He loves you so much (that He would die for you!)! Remember one more thing: Without God, we are nothing. There is nothing to live for if we don't live for God. So why don't we live for God? His amazing grace can cover us if we ask Him! And that's an amazing gift...one that was definitely NOT by accident <3.

Genesis 1:1
In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.

Genesis 1:27
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

Jeremiah 1:5
"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”

You're so right, Talia. Sometimes I get down because I don't have the fanciest iPod and other material stuff. Also, I feel sad when my friends leave me out of things. But like you said, what will it matter compared to the indescribable power of Jesus? Thanks for the inspiration, Talia!
♥Love y'all!♥

Thank you so much, girls. Bookworm, you are exactly right - we were definitely NOT made by accident! Lexi, you are right as well - although it hurts to feel left out or not own what other people do, what WILL it matter when we are standing in the presence of our wonderful, beautiful Jesus Christ our Savior?
