"Redefining Beautiful" Book Review

After hearing great talks from speaker/writer Jenna Lucado at the Revolve Tour (twice) (see below post) and loving her, this year I bought her first book, "Redefining Beautiful," which she wrote with her dad, Max Lucado. Let me tell you, this book is amazing! I started reading it and was hooked! It's easy for girls to relate to and also really uplifting, encouraging, and - I love this - true! It was also funny in parts and honest in every part. I absolutely loved this book and would totally recommend it for any girl! Five stars!

Back cover:
Let's talk, really talk - about fashion, about friends, about boys, about life. Along the way, we'll uncover essential beauty secrets to help you sparkle with confidence and joy.

In Redefining Beautiful, Revolve® speaker Jenna Lucado teams up with her dad, best-selling author Max Lucado, to offer teen girls a new vision of themselves and a new definition of beauty. Through candid discussions about real issues - from self-esteem and dating to broken families and abuse - Jenna reveals a foundational beauty secret: a father's love. And whether a girl comes from a home with a devoted father, or a home where that is only a dream, Jenna brings hope as she helps girls discover that they already have the perfect Dad.

About the Authors (From the back cover):
Jenna Lucado has a passion for writing and speaking, just like her dad. She currently speaks to more than 125,000 teen girls annually as a part of the Revolve Tour, has narrated part of the audio Bible Word of Promise: Next Generation, and is driven by the thought of one more girl hearing about the love of Jesus.

Max LucadoMinister of Writing and Preaching for the Oak Hills Church in San Antonio, Texas, is the husband of Denalyn and father of Jenna, Andrea, and Sara. On a good week he reads a good book, has a few dinners with his wife, and breaks 90 on the golf course. He usually settles for the first two.

God bless you, and I really hope you enjoy and get something from "Redefining Beautiful"!
