What Your Blog is Portraying

Psalm 119:9
How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to Your Word.

I think the verse above is very true. By living according to God's Word, we can stay on the path of purity and also show Christ's love to others. But, we are not living according to God's Word when we post something on our blog that is suggestive, inappropriate, or outright opposing to God's perfect will. Romans 12:1 says to offer our bodies as living sacrifices to God. While this most likely does not mean to jump on an altar and commit suicide (definitely not!), it does mean that we should give God everything that we are and that we have - even our blog. A great analogy I heard from my friend was that this lady, a friend of hers, imagines God waiting for her when she wakes up. And she doesn't want to leave Him waiting! The truth is, God really IS waiting for us to talk to Him and listen to Him and learn from Him. Even if we are ashamed and don't want to show our faces to God, He still sees us and is still waiting for us. God even sees what we post on our blog (or even what we read on other blogs and magazines and books, watch in movies, and listen to in music). Having pure content on our blog is so much better than having nasty stuff on there, and it really DOES make an impact, and not in the nasty way the trash-filled blog would. So I want to challenge you to do something. Take a look at your blog (or what you read, watch, look at, and listen to), and eliminate (take out, delete) anything that does not please Christ. I don't mean people, of course. I think we should try to impact others for Christ. But maybe if somebody is impacting you for the worse, maybe you should try not to hang around them as much, but still be nice to them. And maybe if you have lots of bad content on your blog (or even a LITTLE), you could delete it, perhaps. If you are debating whether or not to eliminate bad things in your life, really think, "Would God want me to do/watch/look at/listen to this?" If the answer is no, then it's best to get rid of it. Oh, and one last thing...don't forget to talk to God about all the choices in your life. Remember, He's waiting, and He loves you, no matter what. Choose to live for Him today and every day.

Thank you, Emii! Flamingo, I really liked the background, but the main reason I switched it was because it wasn't the right size. But I love it! Sure, you can use it as a freebie, if you want :-).

Thanks for the post, Tali! Oh, and I'm so glad you liked the analogy! I'm gonna let her know that you like it so much! :D

I love that analogy! Please do tell her :-). Thanks, Sarah, and happy Valentine's day!
