Halloween

Last night was, as you know, Halloween. And although my family doesn't celebrate the wicked devils, evil beasts, and stuff like that, we DO dress up and attend a couple select harvest parties. Last night was really fun! I dressed up as an iPod, my sister as a 'Sleep-Walker', my brother as Anakin Skywalker from Star Wars, and my little sis as a fairy princess :). It was very fun. People kept pointing, chuckling, and saying, "Look, she's an iPod!" or something of the sort. One boy even ran into a trash can while looking at my costume, I think (I didn't see this happen, but heard of it from my friend). One really fun thing about being an iPod was that my really good friend, Kiera, was one, too, although we live in different states! It's cool! So anyway, I had a lot of fun last night. I hope you did, too! And although this may sound strange and unusual, did you know you can actually WITNESS during HALLOWEEN? A couple years ago, we handed out Bible verses to trick-or-treaters. Your ATTITUDE can show others that there's something different about you. Your ACTIONS can make a difference in their life. Your WORDS can really impact someone. And not just on Halloween.

Wow, can you believe it's November? Whenever Christmas time rolls around, I always think, Wow, it came so fast - again! Doesn't it seem like the holidays are coming up - and fast? I am, honestly, MAJOR excited for the upcoming holidays (Christmas and Thanksgiving). I just LOVE this time of year. The family, the friends, the decorating, the gift-giving (physical and spiritual), the hot apple cider and hot cocoa :), the cold weather, and remembering and cherishing the great gift and blessing that God gave to us - His Son, Jesus Christ.
